HockeyStars Points

This Fall we'll be rolling out full details of the HockeyStars points program. In the meantime, all registered users of the site can start accumulating points. Watch the HockeyStars blog for upcoming announcements!

Registered users of HockeyStars receive points for the things they do on HockeyStars (Activity Points) and also for establishing new accounts with Citizens Bank of Canada (Product Points). All points are credited to your HockeyStars account and show up on your Player Profile page.

HockeyStars points accumulate starting July 29, 2008 and expire on May 31, 2009.

HockeyStars Activity Points

Activity Points are automatically awarded for the things you do on HockeyStars. Points show up on your Player Profile page and are logged in your "chatter" box.

1. 1000 points for signing up
2. 1000 points for joining a team
3. 500 points when a friend accepts your friend request
4. 250 points for uploading a video
5. 250 points for uploading a photo
6. 50 points for participating in a poll
7. 10 points for completing a game

Team points

1. The aggregated total of points from all players associated with the team.

HockeyStars Product Points, sponsored by Citizens Bank of Canada
HockeyStars Product Points will be awarded to your profile following successful confirmation of any new bank account you set up with Citizens Bank of Canada.

1. 2000 points for opening a Starter Account
2. 2000 points for opening any other type of bank account
3. 2000 points for a new term deposit Account
4. 1000 points for a new RSP
5. 1000 points for a new Visa account (plus Visa has a promo awarding Visa points)
6. 500 points for a new mortgage
7. 500 points for a new loans/lines of credit account
